Individual Rounds in the Math Masters Competitions are timed (10 minutes), and calculators are allowed.

1. Find the sum of the following four numbers: three hundred fourteen million, three hundred fourteen thousand, fourteen hundred, and three hundred fourteen. Write your answer in number form.
2. Place the numbers 2, 5, 6, and 8 in the boxes to make the equation true.


3. The sum of the numbers in any two adjacent blanks is the number immediately below and between these two numbers. A sample has been completed for you. Following this same pattern, find the number that goes in the blank labeled X.


4. An 18-pen box of pens costs $3.96. If a case contains 12 boxes, how mwnay pens are in 5 cases?
5. What percent of the entire figure is shaded? Give your answers to a tenth of a percent.


6. On a number line, what fraction corresponds to the point that is 3/4 of the distance from 1/2 to 1? Write your answers in lowest terms.
7. Jasmine is reading a book from cover to cover. She has finished 2/3 of the book and has 102 pages left to read. How many pages has she read?
8. Callum spent $15.87 for three of the following items. Which three did he buy?
