Competition for 5th & 6th Graders

 The program challenges students to use critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities in mathematics, while recognizing academic effort and achievement.

In 2012, more than 5,000 students are expected to gather at more than 39 sites to compete individually and as teams. These competitions are the culmination of special preparation during which students work to improve their math skills.

STATEWIDE RECOGNITION! Math Masters will again honor top scorers following the 2012 competitions. During 2011, top scorers were recognized at a Minnesota Twins game and on the Math Masters website.

MINNESOTA GIFTED AND TALENTED REVENUE MN Statute § 126C.10 2(b) provides funding to school districts for gifted & talented education. It is possible for districts to use these funds for expenses associated with the Math Masters program.
