Join the excitement! Register for the 2013 Challenge Competitions!

Competition for 5th & 6th Graders

The program challenges students to use critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities in mathematics, while recognizing academic effort and achievement.

In 2012, more than 5,000 students are expected to gather at more than 37 sites to compete individually and as teams. These competitions are the culmination of special preparation during which students work to improve their math skills.

2013 Dates are tentatively set:

6th grade will be March 7, 8 or 9, 2013

and

5th grade will be April 25, 26, or 27, 2013

STATEWIDE RECOGNITION!
Math Masters will again honor top scorers following the 2012 competitions. During 2011, top scorers were recognized at a Minnesota Twins game and on the Math Masters website.

TALENTED REVENUE
MN Statute § 126C.10 2(b) provides funding to school districts for gifted & talented education. It is possible for districts to use these funds for expenses associated with the Math Masters program.
